Network requirements

Fast and reliable network connections of at least 1 Gbps are recommended between the BlueCielo ProjectForce servers. LAN connection speeds of 100 Mbps are recommended between the BlueCielo ProjectForce server and Windows desktop clients. Network latency should be under 5 Microsoft.

For use in a wide area network (WAN), remote access software is recommended (for example, Microsoft Remote Desktop or Citrix). BlueCielo ProjectForce is optimized to work via remote access but CAD applications are normally not supported to run within remote sessions. BlueCielo ProjectForce allows changes to be made to CAD files after checking the files out to the remote session client computer (where the CAD application is run). After editing, the files can be checked back in. Remote access can be used in combination with LAN access so that local users have the benefits of LAN performance and remote users can work with the server through remote access.
